Releasing the past

At various times in our lives we find the need to release emotional baggage. There are lots of different ways in which you can learn to do this.

  1. You can meditate on the time in your life where the hurt happened. If you are Reiki or spiritual healing trained you can give your younger self healing. You can sit and talk to your younger self and explain to them how things turn out in the future. Maybe , shine some light on why things happened the way they did.

  2. You can write a list of all the things you want to release. it doesn't need to be a long list, one word to represent each thing you wish to release will be enough. Then in a safe manner burn the paper and watch as the past turns to smoke and is released.

  3. You can face the situation head on and speak to the person or people involved and say all you need to say. This is the hardest of the three because as much as you may wish to leave the past behind the people involved may not be and you will then have to deal with this new fall out.

  4. You can do a cord cutting exercise. Either by calling in Archangel Michael to cut your connection or the cord created between you both, follow it up by asking Archangel Raphael to heal the cuts and Archangel Chamuel to fill any voids created with unconditional love. This can be done with a specific person or situation in mind or it can be done by simply entering a room and seeing who is in there...

No matter which method you take you must be ready to forgive yourself and any other people involved. Remember, you do not for give for the person, you forgive them for your own peace of mind.

You also need to have tissues handy and allow yourself the time needed to complete it. That means if you find a 15 min video on YouTube be prepared to spend an hour working on yourself before during and after.

Another thing to be aware of is that your mind body and soul and all tightly connected and if you have a major release of the mind be ready for a physical release to follow. So if you don't cry it out it may come out in a lot of time spent in the bathroom, or flu like symptoms, or maybe even flatulence.

The best time to do a releasing exercise is at the height of the full moon. Although you can do it at any time the full moon will add to the energy of the releasing.

As with anything spiritual, take time before and afterwards to drink plenty of water.

The morning after the releasing exercise it might be an idea to set multiply alarms as you will most likely have such a great nights sleep that you won't want to get up the next day,
