I'm not in trouble, life is just changing.

I recently spoke about this on instagram, we all have intuition. A gut feeling which guides us to the correct choice or option. We also have free will which means we have the choice to listen to our intuition or not.

If you have ever watched a scary movie there is normally a scene where a defenceless girl or woman is entering a room or a house which has some form of monster/murderer/demon which will attack her when she enters. You may or may not have seen the danger inside but you know it is there. You sit on the edge of your seat willing her not to go in. If the build up is extra effective you may even find yourself screaming at the screen telling the girl not to enter but she does anyway. Your intuition is the same. It screams at you the things you need to know and some times we listen, sometimes we don't.

So what happens when we ask for help in a situation?

We send up our prayers or intentions about how we want life to change then we sit back and wait for the results. As the Joke goes you can't win the lottery if you haven't bought a ticket, and when we ask for spiritual help we need to play our part in answering our prayers. You may be drawn to a Job you would love or you maybe drawn to making a change like cutting back on alcohol or drinking more water. We know we should listen but a lot of the time we ignore the inner guidance we are receiving.

We send up our prayers and in our minds our prayers aren't being answered. But they are. Just like the girl in the horror movie we aren't listening and we enter the house anyway.

We continue to be frustrated that the situation hasn't changed and we continue to plod along still not listening to our gut. Think about it. We ask for help with a situation and then when we don't listen to how we need to help ourselves we continue to ask for help. There comes a point where the situation is taking out of our hands. This is normally when life throws you a curve ball. It forces your hand so you need to take action. Maybe you get laid off your job or you find you lover has cheated on you but how often do you look back and think 'I never really wanted that job or I wasn't that happy with my partner or you were going to split up with them anyway'? Yes you are hurt and you will go through a stage of mourning. Chances are the signs were there in the form of your intuition which told you it was time to jump ship but you ignored your inner guidance until Life took hold of the situation and made you make a change.

It is always better if we choose to change our lives rather than have it forced on to us. The next time life throws you a curve ball, ask yourself 'Have I asked for this?' 'Did my intuition try to tell me to make a change?' 'Will I listen next time?'

More often than not forced change is a major blessing in disguise. Listen to your intuition and after you get over the initial shock, see the changes through and take charge of your life. You have the power... you are in control.
